Oily Skin Needs to be Moisturized and Oil Free Lotion is Available

Contrary to popular belief, oily skin needs to be moisturized. Oil free lotion is available to those who have this condition. Many people who have oily skin skip this very important step in their skin care routine. One reason they do so is that for a very long time, those with oily skin had few if any lotions to select from for their skin type. Finally, there are all kinds of products including mattifying lotion which moisturizes deep down while providing all-day shine control on its own or under your cosmetics. Many skin care and cosmetics companies now offer mattifying lotion.

One of the cheapest and most useful lotions for oily skin is from Clean and Clear, a drugstore and super market brand. They have an oil-free lotion enriched with salicylic acid that provides moisture, a matte finish, and acne control. If you want a totally natural product, use jojoba oil. Massage the oil on your face, then rinse with warm water. After drying you will see your skin is clean and oil-free rather than greasy. Jojoba oil deep cleans and helps control sebum production. Another beneficial oil for acne and oily skin is tea tree. Try a strong dilution of tea tree oil on pimples and add a few drops to your jojoba for astringent properties.

Adults should especially look into moisturizer for oily skin. The moisture helps aging skin plump wrinkles while the added acne treatment fights breakouts. Teens might need such a product if they find their acne treatment leaves their skin too tight, red, dry or flaky. It is important to use your skin care products in order. Most of the time, your lotion will be applied last unless you are using a separate sunscreen. Some lotions come with sunscreen included, which cuts down on your skin care routine. If you hate lotion altogether look for mineral powder sunscreens that are dusted on the skin.

Oil free lotion is found from many different skin care brands today. Whether you go for something drugstore, like the aforementioned Clean and Clear, or something more pricey like Clinique you should always make sure the lotion you are buying is made for oily skin. Don't just look for hypoallergenic or noncomedogenic, you want to find lotion that specifically states on the packaging it is made for oily and acne prone skin. If you've never moisturized your oily skin, you will most likely adore the silky feeling of moisturized skin.
